Registered Name: Vetanda
Nickname: Vet
Age: 2YO
Gender: Colt
Registration Number: #1448
DOB: Y12
Color: Maximum Chestnut Sabino
Markings: Sabino
Personality: Vet is an interesting combination between his parents. His sire is full of fire and get-up-and-go, whereas Blanchette is more laid back and easy to handle. What we were going for was a foal that had the class of Blanchette and the determination of Mockingbird and that is exactly what we got in Vetanda. The first thing people obviously notice about Vet is his coloring. He is a stunning white, blanketed with splashes of fire all of his coat, but it really isn't this colt's looks that keep people interested, rather it is the way Vet carries himself. Vet always has his head carried high, wherever he goes he owns the space that he's in and horses and people alike can't help, but follow him with their eyes. There isn't much that intimidates Vet, but rather he has an innate desire to explore and solve and once a riddle or a problem is placed before him, he won't give up until he finds a clever solution. Determined is one word that really this colt envelops. He is determined in everything that he does to stand out and be noticed, but he never has to work too hard to do that.
When it comes to other horses, Vet likes to take a quiet commanding presence. Some of the more vocal horses in his crop think that they run the show, but often they are only reacting to his subtle manipulations. He won't take the path of fighting initially, but if he is outright disrespected or challenged he will swiftly put the intruder in their place. Vet loves to have a sense of order about him and he is very diligent in maintaining the balances in the herd. He is very quick to pick up on subtle changes in people and horses and therefore knows how to respond accordingly to fix or enhance a situation. This definitely comes in handy when on the racetrack. He is such a good read of others, that he can ususally read in a horse's body language the mood they're in and also anticipate their moves.
Vetanda loves to run in the back when in a race because it is there he can monitor the entire progress of the race and decipher when exactly to inch his way up the field to challenge for the lead. His sire's front running speed paired with his dam's closing stamina makes Vetanda a cunning closer with a burning blitz of speed at the very end that will wow the crowds. Vet works well with just about anyone on his back, but sometimes he needs a more firm hand to help him really settle down at the very end, but once Vet is turned on and firing, he is like a white comet streaking on fire all the way to finish line.
